How it works

From customer feedback to a clearer product decision.

Helpful BoB is feature request software for B2B SaaS teams. It keeps customer feedback in one place, groups similar requests, and lays out the reasons for and against acting on them.

BoB organises and helps you assess. Your team decides what deserves engineering time.

Step 01

Collect the feedback

Add a customer comment by hand with the company it came from, in the customer’s own words. Connect one Slack channel and BoB brings in what has been said there, including recent history.

Nothing is paraphrased away. The quote, the account and the date stay attached, so anyone can check your reading later.

Too many email notifications

5 pieces of feedback · 4 companies

  • Meridian Ops

“We get an email for everything, so the ones that matter get lost.”

  • Parkside Logistics

“I filter them all into a folder and read the folder once a day.”

Reasons to act

  • Four of the five comments describe the same problem: too much routine email.
  • Two of them already work around it by filtering their inbox.

Questions to check

  • Could a daily digest reduce the routine emails?
  • One team needs custom rules; a digest may not help them.

Step 02

See the common problem

Related comments are linked into a theme, and BoB writes a short summary of what customers are asking for. The original quotes and companies stay visible underneath it.

Five separate conversations then read as one problem with five sources, rather than five items competing for a slot.

Step 03

Weigh it up, then decide

For each theme BoB sets out arguments for and against acting: what the problem is, why it might matter now, who it is for, and a rough sense of the effort involved.

That is where the software stops. Whether the trade-off is worth it, what you promise the customer and when you build it are your team’s judgement, not BoB’s.

Example team decision

Customer request
“Give every user their own on/off switch for each type of email notification.” Raised by an operations lead at Meridian Ops.
What the feedback shows
Five conversations sit under one theme. Four describe too much routine mail. The fifth asks for different rules per team, which is a different problem.
What the team could do
Consider a daily digest with quieter defaults, and check first that urgent alerts still arrive immediately. The team-specific need stays open. Nothing is promised to the customer until the team agrees.

Getting started

Get started with your own feedback.

  1. 1

    Create your workspace

Sign up and open a workspace for your product. It is free to start.

  2. 2

    Bring in feedback

Add customer comments by hand, or connect one Slack channel.

  3. 3

    Add your Anthropic API key

The AI features — grouping, summaries and the arguments for and against — use your own workspace Anthropic API key. You pay Anthropic for that usage directly; it is not included in your BoB plan.

Questions

Who is this for?
B2B SaaS founders, product leaders and CTOs who have to answer customer feature requests without a full research team behind them.
Does it replace our issue tracker or roadmap tool?
No. It sits before them. BoB helps you assess customer requests and agree what is worth building; delivery stays in whichever tool your team already tracks work in.
Which integrations are available?
Slack, for one channel at a time, and Anthropic for the AI features. CRM and support integrations are not available yet.
Does BoB decide, write code or reply to customers?
No. It organises feedback and helps you assess it. Your team makes the decision, tells the customer and does the work.

When your team has decided, write it down: the free feature request template records the problem, the evidence and the scope. See Pricing.
